Sweet, adorably plump little Oliver has been long awaited around these parts! You can see his mama and daddy’s pregnancy announcement session here, and maternity session here. When his parents aren’t totally busy lovin’ on him, they’re decorating their new home in beachy, natural style. So we naturally decided to incorporate those colors into his session.

I love the birds nest, how adorable!!ReplyCancel

This little handsome mister did not want to sleep for me at first, but after a bit of coaxing and a nice full belly, he was finally ready to model! Theo makes the cutest little expressions, and I even caught the elusive newborn smile. See, he even gets my jokes! Now if only most other people would… Anyhow, I digress! On to sweet baby Theo:

oh wow. I wish I lived by you so you can take pics of my toddler. I really love the one where he is smiling. What a cute baby.ReplyCancel

These beaded Romanian eggs have been in my family for as long as I can remember. Romanian Orthodox Easter isn’t until next Sunday, but we celebrate both around here.:-)

We also have a little tradition with our Easter eggs – a contest of knocking the eggs together, so to speak. Person #1 says “Christos a inviat!” (Christ is risen – though why isn’t it has risen I wonder?). Then person #2 will say “Adevarat a inviat!” (He is risen indeed) and knock the ends of the eggs together. Whoever’s doesn’t break wins. Silly, I know, but it always turns into a funny competitive thing, and there’s always one magical egg that wins it all. (And no, we don’t use the pretty beaded eggs for this! haha)

I hope everyone has a beautiful Easter with their families!

I fell in love with Ellie Beans’ adorable girls’ dresses the moment I laid eyes on them. They are just the right amount of vintage, bright and fun. Gabriella was happy to model a couple of them, and she really got into the spirit of her little roadside wildflower stand. Frankly, I’m about to overload you with images from our session, but I really just can’t help myself. When a toddler is willing to sit in one place for 45 minutes straight, the trigger finger gets very happy.:-)

Baby Rosalie’s mommy was the fabulous winner of my January session giveaway. I was so excited to find out that we would be doing a newborn session – I absolutely adore photographing newborns and have accumulated quite the prop collection over the last few months! Rose was 6 days old at the time of this session and while she tried to resist my sleep-inducing tactics at first, once she finally got to sleep she snoozed away like a little champ. Without further ado, here’s the little princess…

This last one’s a little bit of a departure from my usual newborn style, but I just felt this image was begging to be vintagefied. What, that can be a word, right?
