THEY'RE ONLY LITTLE
Maternity sessions are best done between weeks 30-35 of your pregnancy. Sessions take place outdoors at sunset, to capture the beauty of your growing family in that gorgeous golden light.
Newborn collections are designed to preserve a glimpse of your newest little love's infancy. In order to do so, sessions are best done within your baby's first two weeks of life. FROM $795.
I ENJOY PHOTOGRAPHING BABIES, CHILDREN AND FAMILIES AT ALL STAGES. LET'S CHAT ABOUT CRAFTING THE PERFECT SESSION TO CAPTURE YOUR FAMILY'S LOVE. SESSIONS BEGIN AT $595, AND INCLUDE DIGITAL FILES.
Glad you asked! ;-) Just shoot me a message through the contact tab here or at email@example.com, and we can chat about availability and your vision for your family's photos. Once we nail down the details, I ask for a $95 deposit to reserve space in my calendar for your session (balance is due at the time of the session). Email is the best way to reach me, and generally responses should be received the same day.
Newborn sessions are best reserved around the end of your 2nd trimester/beginning of the 3rd. Newborns are photographed within their first two weeks, for those sleepy, squishy poses. I accept only a limited number of newborn sessions monthly, and it breaks my heart to have to say no to last minute inquiries if scheduling doesn't allow for it. I do occasionally have room in my calendar to squeeze in a session, so don't hesitate to send me an email even if your little one has already made their arrival; I will do my very best to accomodate since I know how precious capturing these fleeting newborn details is. Additional details on newborn sessions can be found here.
Often times people get nervous before having their photos taken. It's completely normal, and I do my very best to put everyone at ease, so I can photograph you and your family in your most relaxed, natural loving state. I like to have fun with my sessions, and I think it shows through in your images. I allow plenty of time during family sessions for playing, giggling, running around, and general silliness. Family pictures should be a reflection of the connection and joy you and your loved ones share. Of course, if you prefer the tense, sweaty look, we can do that too.
This is one of the most asked questions I get. I think it's important to stay true to your usual style, yet spiffed up a bit. Think of how you imagine your very best self. Comfort shows through in your images, so if you're a flats kinda girl, now's probably not the time to debut your 6" Louboutins. I always advise mamas to pick out their outfit first, and build the family's outfits around that. Coordinating yet not too matchy, layered looks work best. Some of my favorite stores for mom are Anthropologie, Free People, and Nordstrom. For littles, I love Zara Kids, Baby Gap, Old Navy, H&M, and Joyfolie. Dads always look dapper in J. Crew, Banana Republic, and classic Levis. Keep in mind the setting of our session too - a little black cocktail dress in a rustic field might look out of place. For newborn sessions, I highly recommend keeping it very simple and classic: a neutral camisole for mama, shirtless or a snug fitting t-shirt for dad, and jeans/classic neutral dresses for siblings.
Yes! While I do strongly encourage (and offer at a discounted rate) printing your images through a reputable lab, I also know that in today's digital age, having your images to view and proudly share with friends and family is important. All sessions include digital files.
