Beautiful little Sarah turned one a couple months ago and it was time to celebrate! I adore spending time with this little family as I’ve followed their journey now from maternity, to newborn, and now into toddlerhood. This pretty girl is so loved! She definitely gave me no shortage of expressions, I suspect this one is going to be an actress like her gorgeous mama.

We shot at one of my favorite locations in Westlake Village. The scenery is always changing here – in the spring and summer months it looks SO green and lush, and then into fall the landscape changes and those white flowers turn a deep, dark rust red, and the light just gets moodier. And of course, we had to feature that magical white chair of mine – I bring it to most toddler sessions because even the rowdiest little ones are completely drawn to it. It encourages them to sit still and giggle for me for at least a minute at a time, a total win in my book!
